A Look at President Monson’s Headstone & Monument

In a news article from local Utah news station KSL, stoneworker Keith MacKay shared his experience in working on and installing President Thomas S. Monson’s headstone and monument.

“President Monson was the most delightful person to be around that you ever met in your life,” MacKay said. “He couldn’t say anything but good for you. He’s a wonderful person. It’s a real honor to do his monument. I feel really grateful for it.”

The broadcast gives a special look at the headstone and monument prepared for President Monson and his late wife, Frances. The monument has been in place since 2013 after the death of Sister Monson. Their graves will be side by side in the Salt Lake Cemetery in Salt Lake City, Utah. President Monson passed away on January 2, 2018. He was 90 years old.
