Latter-day Saint recording artist Marie Osmond lit up Fort Worth, Texas, with a mini-concert and unveiling ceremony for the local Giving Machines.
“What’s so cool about these is that you get to go up to these machines, and you can give and donate items like food, personal hygiene, medication, basketballs, you can even buy a chicken,” Osmond told local news stations.
During the event, Osmond sang with an interfaith choir and helped lead a countdown to light the Sundance Square Tree alongside Fort Worth Mayor Mattie Parker.
After her performance, Osmond went to be the first to make a donation at the Giving Machines.
The Giving Machines give a charitable twist to traditional vending machines. Instead of sodas or candy, you can purchase items to donate to local and international charities. Donation items include goats, school books, vaccinations, art supplies, meals, and more.
There are more Giving Machines than ever before, with 61 locations around the world. Click here to see the full list.
