LDS member Tim Ballard is former CIA agent now responsible for rescuing children around the world from sex slavery as the leader of Operation Underground Railroad. With the upcoming documentary release of “The Abolitionists”, a film based on Ballard’s efforts, coming out on May 16, 2016, multiple media outlets have started telling Ballard’s story.
One of the most inspiring is this new video from Faith Counts, an inter-faith organization the LDS Church is a member of. In the video, Ballard discusses how faith inspired him to leave his job and dedicated his life and security to save children around the world.
“Once we feel inside, and I think all of us feel it, once we feel our calling faith is the thing you’re not going to use to realize that goal. It’s the action, its’ the belief that you’re going to get to that place you feel you’re supposed to go and it’s about moving there, that’s the faith,” Ballard says in the video.
