Tyler Haws, shooting guard for the BYU Men’s Basketball team, left for two years after his freshman season to serve a full-time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Though it was hard for Haws, “I knew what I was doing was right.”
In this new video released by the NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association), Haws describes his missionary experiences, returning to basketball, and how Super Typhoon Haiyan, which struck the Philippines in late 2013, affected him and the team.
