Meridian Temple Monument Sign

Update: The monument sign for the Meridian Idaho Temple was put into place on the temple ground this week.

Tucson Arizona Temple Lights

Update: The exterior lighting system for the Tucson Arizona Temple was finalized this week in preparation for the open house in June.

Progress in Fortaleza Brazil

Update: Construction workers formed the exterior walls of the Fortaleza Brazil Temple tower this week. They also made progress on a patron housing building which will provide accommodations for long-distance travelers.

Temple Facts: Once completed, the Fortaleza Brazil temple will be the seventh temple in Brazil.

New Temple Presidents Called

Update: The First Presidency called two new temple presidents and matrons this week.

Daniel and JoAnn Jones will serve as the President and Matron of the Cedar City Utah Temple. Both Brother and Sister Jones are natives to Cedar City and are currently serving as regional Public Affairs specialists. He is the former president of the Australia Perth Mission and she has served as stake Relief Society and Young Women presidents.

James and Marina Moeller will serve as the President and Matron of the Tucson Arizona Temple. Brother Moeller was born in Phoenix and has served as an Area Seventy, president of the Utah Salt Lake City Mission, and stake president; Sister Moeller was born in Fortaleza, Brazil, and has served as stake Primary president.
