Port-au-Prince Temple Groundbreaking
On Saturday 28 October 2017, Elder Walter F. González of the Seventy and the President of the Caribbean Area presided over the groundbreaking ceremony for the Port-au-Prince Temple. No official completion date has been planned, but the building is estimated to be finished in early- to mid-2019.
Progress in Africa
Progress continues on the covered entry and steeple of the Kinshasa Democratic Republic of the Congo Temple. Workers have attached a wire mesh and begun the work of plastering. The temple will be painted white at a future date to set it apart from the adjoining earth-toned meetinghouse.
Upper Walls Going Up In Brazil
The walls of the Rio de Janeiro Brazil temple are rising above a major thoroughfare in Rio’s Barra de Tijuca neighborhood. The edifice is surrounded by an extensive system of scaffolding. Crews are setting rebar and pouring concrete for the upper walls.
Landscaping Progress in Chile
A new aerial shot of the Concepción Chile Temple shows the progress being made on the entrance water feature and the semi-circular walkways flanking either side of the building.
