Port-au-Prince Temple Groundbreaking

On Saturday 28 October 2017, Elder Walter F. González of the Seventy and the President of the Caribbean Area presided over the groundbreaking ceremony for the Port-au-Prince Temple. No official completion date has been planned, but the building is estimated to be finished in early- to mid-2019.

Progress in Africa

Progress continues on the covered entry and steeple of the Kinshasa Democratic Republic of the Congo Temple. Workers have attached a wire mesh and begun the work of plastering. The temple will be painted white at a future date to set it apart from the adjoining earth-toned meetinghouse.

Upper Walls Going Up In Brazil

The walls of the Rio de Janeiro Brazil temple are rising above a major thoroughfare in Rio’s Barra de Tijuca neighborhood. The edifice is surrounded by an extensive system of scaffolding. Crews are setting rebar and pouring concrete for the upper walls.
