Progress in Durban South Africa

Crews at the Durban South Africa Temple site have poured both the front wall and elevator shafts for the temple and the upper floor slab for the missionary housing. Trenches are being dug for the guardhouse and brickwork has begun in utility areas.

Landscaping in Meridian Idaho

Sod, trees, and plants filled the parking lot of the Meridian Idaho Temple this week as landscaping efforts progressed on temple grounds.

Idaho Falls Idaho Temple is Rededicated

President Henry B. Eyring of the First Presidency rededicated the Idaho Falls Idaho temple on Sunday 4 June 2017, following an extensive renovation project. The temple, which was the first constructed in Idaho, had been closed for two years for interior updates and renovations. President Eyring dedicated the temple in three sessions that were broadcast to all the stakes in Idaho. The dedication followed a cultural celebration that took place on the evening of Saturday 3 June 2017.

Preparations for Foundation Walls of Arequipa Peru Temple

Aerial views of the Arequipa Peru Temple site show that foundation work is underway for the temple and an accommodations center. Footings have been poured and concrete forms and rebar are going up for the temple foundation walls.

Tours Underway in Tucson Arizona

Guests are now invited to our the Tucson Arizona Temple open house, which will continue through Saturday 24 June 2017. The temple is a new landmark in Tucson’s Catalina Foothills and features a beautiful dome. Read more about the decision to showcase a dome instead of steeple here.

 

Concepción Chile Temple Façade Details

A new series of photographs taken at the north end of the Concepción Chile Temple site shows the intricate architectural details that have been incorporated into the stone cladding. Crews are continuing to attach cladding to the west and south side temple exterior.
