Lisbon Portugal Temple Dedicated
Yesterday I had the great opportunity to dedicate the Lisbon Portugal Temple—the first temple in Portugal. I testify that as we come to the house of the Lord in the spirit of gratitude, believing in Jesus Christ and relying upon His Atonement, the answers we seek will come to us. pic.twitter.com/B2K7vFMj7x

This past Sunday, Elder Neil L. Andersen of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles dedicated the Lisbon Portugal Temple during the three dedicatory sessions held at the newly completed temple. It is the first temple within the country of Portugal, and the 166th temple in operation of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Members throughout the area were able to watch live broadcasts of the dedication, and many feel a great excitement having a temple so close to them.

Thirty-two years ago, I was interviewed on a German TV show about temples, prior to the dedication of the Frankfurt Temple.
This week, I am in Frankfurt for this temple’s open house just prior to its re-dedication. I testify again today that temples are the house of the Lord. pic.twitter.com/HZ22OO9vN1

As the Frankfurt Germany has completed its renovations, the Temple Open House is in full swing as members throughout the area come to visit and see the changes within this historic temple. Elder Dieter F. Uchtdorf of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, who was present at the temple’s dedication in 1987, tweeted about his visit to the temple open house as well as a video of a television interview that occurred soon after the dedication. In the video, Elder Uchtdorf explains the blessings of the temple and why members of the Church hold temples so close to their hearts.

Main Floor of the Pocatello Idaho Temple Nears Completion
As the structure of the main floor nears completion, steel beams and metal floor deck has been installed along the basement walls with cut-outs for stairs and elevators of the Pocatello Idaho Temple. Along the north side of the structure, crews are working diligently on back-filling the concrete walls, canopy footings, and curbing around the structure. This temple in Idaho will be the sixth, and members in the surrounding area greatly anticipate having a temple so close to home.
