Latter-day Saint temples continue to be built around the world as the gospel of Jesus Christ rolls forth. Here’s a quick look at temple news and updates from this last week.
Ground Broken for the Burley Idaho Temple
On Saturday, June 4, 2022, Elder Brent H. Nielson of the Presidency of the Seventy presided at the groundbreaking ceremony for the Burley Idaho Temple. The 38,600-square-foot temple will be constructed on a 10.1-acre site at 40 South and 150 East in Burley.
Progress on the Taylorsville Utah Temple

Curbing has been poured for the at-grade parking islands at the northwest corner of the site, near the entrance ramp to the underground parking. Concrete structures have been poured for the north plaza. Roofers are making steady progress on the slate-style roof, and white window frames are being installed on the west face of the building.

Foundation Work on the Salt Lake City Utah Temple

Work continues on the massive project that is restoring and updating the Salt Lake City Utah Temple. This week workers inserted massive pipes reinforced with steel and concrete, to act as support beams, into the foundation of the temple. These beams with strengthen the foundation against seismic activity.
Footings for the Lindon Utah Temple

In one of its first phases of construction, Excavation has been completed for the Lindon Utah Temple foundation. Forms have been placed for the first footings that will sit under and support the foundation of the temple. Ground was first broken for the temple on April 23, 2022.
