Gibson Porter is a young man who, due to a rare for of cerebral palsy, is unable to speak. However, after years of hard work, Gibson was able to give his first talk in Sacrament this past week with the help of his talker.
The Porters recorded Gibson sharing his talk with a camera. It is not only amazing, but a testimony to the spirit of members around the world. Watch Gibson’s talk about prayer below!
Gibson’s mother Brynn said in a Facebook post: He did it!! Gibson spoke in our church today, and totally rocked it. He was able to use his talker. I couldn’t record it at the church, but I had him come home and do it for me one more time, so here it is for anyone that missed it! Which isn’t very many people, he had quite the entourage there today supporting him! Thank you to all who came, it meant so much to Gibson and to chase and I. I had an amazing week helping him prepare for this. We have been working to get to this point for years now. And I say WE because it truly has taken an army, an army of amazing family members, friends, therapists, teachers, principals, aides, and ward family members to get Gibson to where he is. He is incredible. I am humbled and thankful every day that I was chosen to be his mom. Way to go Gibson.
