Prepare for a More Personal Experience

In a September 3 letter shared by Church Newsroom, the First Presidency invited everyone to “join as we hear the word of God” during the upcoming conference. They described general conference as “an opportunity to receive personal revelation as Church leaders give counsel and direction from the Lord.”
Preparing specific questions before conference provides a meaningful focus for listening. Viewers can then pay attention to particular words or teachings that address their concerns and strengthen their relationship with God.
“We encourage all to listen to, study, ponder and apply the counsel given,” the First Presidency stated. That invitation encourages participants to continue engaging with the messages after the live sessions conclude.
The Church of Jesus Christ also provides conference activities and resources for children and youth. Families can review those materials in advance and choose options suited to the ages and needs of their children.
How to Watch or Listen After Conference
Anyone who misses a session—or wants to revisit a favorite message—will have several on-demand options. Church Newsroom reports that conference teachings will become available in text, audio, and video after the broadcast.
The Church will eventually publish the messages in up to 98 languages. Conference content will be available through the following platforms:
On-demand formats allow viewers to study individual messages at their own pace. They also make it easier to review notes, find teachings on specific topics, and return to impressions received during the live broadcast.

How to Attend in Salt Lake City

Free tickets are required to attend a session inside the Conference Center. The process for requesting tickets depends on where a Church member lives.
Church Newsroom provides the following attendance information:
- United States and Canada: Ask local ward or branch leaders about obtaining tickets distributed electronically through stakes and districts.
- Outside the United States and Canada: Ask the stake or district president to submit a ticket request on your behalf.
- Ticket request timing: Stake and district presidents outside the United States and Canada can begin ordering tickets three months before conference.
- Public transportation: Each conference ticket also serves as a Utah Transit Authority pass for travel to and from the sessions.
- Standby seating: Line up outside the Tabernacle 90 minutes before the desired session.
- Event requirements: Review current Temple Square event guidelines before arriving.
Standby admission depends on available seating and does not guarantee entrance to a session. Those with tickets should also allow enough time for transportation, security procedures, and seating.
General conference offers opportunities to worship with the worldwide Church, seek personal revelation, and hear counsel centered on the gospel of Jesus Christ. How do you plan to participate in general conference this October?
