Early in December, leaked reports from missionaries and their families foreshadowed the creation of multiple new LDS missions. Today, the Church has official announced the creation of 11 new missions, as well as the 2015 mission president assignments. The new missions are both completely new missions and consolidated missions.
The new missions created are:

-Utah Salt Lake City Central (Consolidated)
-Utah Orem (New)
-California Modesto (New)
-Washington Yakima (New)
-Costa Rica San Jose West (New)
-Trinidad Port of Spain (New)
-Peru Trujillo South (New)
-Bolivia La Paz El Alto (New)
-Argentina Santa Fe (New)
-Argentina Buenos Aires East (New)
-Portugal Porto (New)
