The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has announced plans for the 2025 First Presidency Christmas devotional, inviting individuals and families everywhere to participate in a season of worship and reflection centered on the birth of Jesus Christ.
The devotional will be available on Sunday, December 7, 2025, and will once again feature uplifting messages from Church leadership and sacred Christmas music performed by The Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square.
However, the Church has shared an important update regarding this year’s production. According to the announcement, “this year, the broadcast will not be a live, ticketed event open to the public.” Instead, the program was prerecorded in Salt Lake City on the set of the Church’s “Savior of the World” production.
The performance space, known for its reverent portrayal of the nativity and the Savior’s ministry, provides a fitting backdrop for the devotional’s Christ-centered message.
How to Watch
Members and friends of the Church throughout the world are encouraged to watch the broadcast in a way that best supports local needs. The release explained that “areas of the Church may determine a date and time for viewing that best serve the members.”
For those who prefer to watch at home or gather with family, the devotional can be downloaded from ChurchofJesusChrist.org for later viewing. The broadcast will be streamed on Sunday, December 7, at 6:00 p.m. MST on:

Additionally, “various stations and internet sites throughout the world will also carry the devotional,” and viewers are encouraged to check local listings to confirm availability. Decisions regarding meetinghouse gatherings will be made by local leaders.
On-Demand Viewing and Language Availability
For those who wish to revisit the devotional throughout the Christmas season, the Church will make the program available for ongoing viewing. “Video and audio recordings of the devotional will be archived for on-demand viewing on Gospel Library (in 60 languages).”
In addition, recordings in most languages, along with text in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, will be available approximately a week after the initial broadcast. Families and Church units are welcome to “use all or part of the devotional” in their seasonal programs or celebrations.
