1865 The Saints in Salt Lake City join the nation in celebrating the reinauguration of United States president Abraham Lincoln.
1902 On the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem, Elder Francis M. Lyman, president of the European Mission, rededicates the Holy Land for the gathering of the Jews.
1925 The Church Missionary Home and Preparatory Training School opens in Salt Lake City for the training of new missionaries.
