1869 President Brigham Young organizes the Young Ladies’ Department of the Cooperative Retrenchment Association, which paves the way for the later creation of the Young Women’s Mutual Improvement Association in the 1870s.
1999 Ground is broken for the Winter Quarters Temple. Elder Hug Pinnock, a member of the First Quorum of the Seventy and President of the North America Central Area, presides over the ceremony.
