Here’s your daily dose of what matters most!
To love like He loved means forgiving even when it feels undeserved and praying for those who have wronged us. It’s not easy, but choosing to love our enemies opens our hearts to the healing power of Christlike compassion.
Scripture
“Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you.”—Matthew 5:44
Quote
“He forgave, and asked his Father to forgive, those who persecuted and crucified him. Was this act of forgiveness less difficult than sacrificing his mortal life? Was it less a test of his love? I do not know the answer. But I have felt that the ultimate form of love for God and men is forgiveness.”—Marion D. Hanks

Living the Principle: Love Like He Loved
- Pray by name for someone who has hurt you: Ask God to bless them with peace, healing, or joy, even if you’re still hurting.
- Replace a critical thought with a kind action: When you’re tempted to speak negatively about someone, choose instead to send a message of encouragement to someone else.
- Write down what you’ve learned from the hurt: Use journaling to find growth, then write a short note of sincere goodwill—even if you never send it.
