Welcome to Guideposts! Guideposts is a roundup of inspiring social media posts from Church leaders and organizations. This series highlights key messages, quotes, and teachings shared across various platforms, offering you valuable insights and encouragement to strengthen your faith and live the gospel in meaningful ways.

In honor of Elder Gary E. Stevenson’s birthday on August 6, we’re spotlighting a year of uplifting messages centered on discipleship, covenant confidence, and the joy of the gospel. His posts have encouraged members to embrace the next decade with faith and to share the gospel by “living, caring, inviting, and uniting.”

Elder Stevenson celebrated young missionaries who choose to serve and stay on the covenant path, and he invited all disciples to wave the banners of peace, understanding, Restoration, and engagement. Reflecting on the love expressed in even the simplest digital messages, he reminded us of Christ’s invitation to “love one another.”

He testified of Jesus Christ’s power to unify, uplift, and transform—seen in choirs singing “Gethsemane,” centennial celebrations in Chile, and a convert’s miraculous change in Japan. At his ancestor’s graveside, he expressed hope in the Resurrection and invited each of us to find joy through the restored gospel.

His messages remind us that the blessings of the gospel are real, personal, and available to all who seek them with faith.
