Latter-day Saints around the world are transitioning to self-planned Sabbath day activities and discussions as the COVID-19 virus has temporarily suspended all Church meetings until further notice. The following eight items can help individuals and families as they plan testimonies, consecrate their time, and strive to continue setting Sundays apart. Many of these are also great for during the week as you practice social distancing.
Priesthood Ordinance Cards
The power of the priesthood is needed now more than ever. As priesthood holders receive authorization from their leaders to provide the Sacrament to their families and other ward members in need, a priesthood ordinance card becomes essential. You can choose from a tri-fold card or a smaller pocket card, as featured above. The tri-fold card has all the priesthood ordinances on it and is made of durable paper. The pocket card is about the size of a credit card and is made of light-weight plastic. It only has the ordinances of the Sacrament and giving a priesthood blessing. It’s favored for missionaries.
Unconsecrated Olive Oil
While you can get olive oil at the grocery store, it’s not designed for transportation, small spaces, and can be more expensive. These individual bottles filled with unconsecrated olive oil were designed especially for Latter-day Saints. Having oil available in your home means you don’t have to go out to get it and its size is great for re-filling oil vials or taking to a member’s home.
