“Stand Still, and See the Salvation of the Lord”
Come, Follow Me Study Guide | April 13-19
Reading: Exodus 14–18
We all reach moments when pressure builds and no clear path forward appears. Our response in those moments shapes our trust in the Lord and determines whether we move forward in faith or remain stuck in fear.
Exodus 14–18 shows how the Lord delivers, provides, and strengthens His people when they choose to trust Him under pressure.

Setting the Stage for Your Come, Follow Me Study
This section of the study guide aims to provide a deeper understanding of the circumstances surrounding the revelation or scripture being studied. By exploring the events, challenges, and background of the time, this section helps readers appreciate the significance of the teachings and how they apply to our lives today.

After generations of bondage in Egypt, the Israelites began their journey to freedom under Moses’s leadership, but Pharaoh reversed his decision and pursued them with his army. The Israelites stood trapped between the Red Sea and the approaching Egyptians, which created a crisis that tested their faith and forced them to rely on the Lord’s direction.
The Lord commanded Moses to lead the people forward, parted the Red Sea, and allowed Israel to cross on dry ground before the waters returned over the Egyptian army. As the journey continued through the wilderness, the Israelites faced hunger, thirst, and conflict.
But the Lord continued to patiently guide and provide for His people, providing manna, water from a rock, and leadership support through Moses, Aaron, Hur, and Jethro.
