President Dieter F. Uchtdorf, second counselor in the First Presidency of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, spoke at the inauguration of Brigham Young University-Idaho’s new president, Clark Gilbert.
A humorous moment occurred as President Uchtdorf went to the pulpit, where the left side of his academic robes were slipping. Almost immediately, his wife Harriet went up to the pulpit and fixed the robe. The crowd of fifteen thousand erupted into laughter, including President Uchtdorf.
“You see I’m welcome taken care of,” he said. “At all times and in all places. If President Monson were here, he’d say, ‘Yes, Harriet, that’s what you need to do.”
